Robin Black has practiced as a Women’s Health Practitioner in Orange County for 25 years. She is a graduate of Harbor/UCLA’s NP program and completed the CSULB MSN program. In the early 90’s Robin began specializing in Colposcopy and was awarded the Colposcopy Recognition Award for Special Knowledge in Lower Genital Tract Disease by the Am. Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. She served on the National Program Committee with the Society and was also a Clinical Instructor in Colposcopy for 5 years with UCI’s Family Medicine Program.
The first two decades of Robin’s career were in community clinic, non-profit settings. In 2006, she opened her first private practice in Costa Mesa, primarily as a referral site for abnormal pap management from local university student health centers. In 2007 her focus expanded into research in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical disease, where she has served as a Principal Investigator in several national clinical trials.
In the past, she has served on the Humanitarian Committee of the ASCCP, traveling to Ghana in 2011 to teach GYN residents how to perform Colposcopy and LEEP. In 2013, she and her colleague Cyndie Chen traveled to Fiji to screen and treat Island women for cervical pre-cancer.
Robin closed her practice in 2023 when the building was sold to Corner Health Urgent Care. The facility opened its doors after extensive remodeling in January 2025, and Robin will be seeing patients (by appointment only) inside Corner Health Care.
